Frequently Asked Questions
General
Will scanning my infrastructure cause any downtime?
No. Cysvera runs passive external scans designed to avoid disrupting your services. We do not send malicious payloads or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities. The scan traffic is similar to normal web traffic.
Do I need to notify anyone before scanning?
You should only scan infrastructure you own or have explicit written permission to scan. Cysvera is designed for scanning your own assets. Scanning third-party infrastructure without permission may be illegal in your jurisdiction.
How is my data stored?
All scan data is stored in an isolated tenant database. Your findings, evidence logs, and reports are never shared with other tenants. Evidence logs use SHA-256 checksums to detect tampering.
Billing
What happens when my trial ends?
At the end of your trial you will be prompted to choose a plan. Your targets and scan history are preserved. You will not lose any data.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days of a paid subscription, contact us at support@cysvera.com for a full refund.
Compliance
Does Cysvera satisfy SOC 2 vulnerability management requirements?
Cysvera’s regular external scanning, combined with immutable evidence logs and remediation tracking, satisfies a significant portion of SOC 2 CC7.1 controls. We recommend discussing your specific audit requirements with your auditor.
Can I use Cysvera evidence logs in an audit?
Yes. Every scan finding is stored with a timestamp and SHA-256 checksum. Your auditor can verify the integrity of the evidence log. Many customers provide Cysvera reports directly to their auditors.
Which compliance frameworks does Cysvera map to?
Cysvera automatically maps findings to SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS v4.0 controls. The compliance dashboard shows which controls are satisfied, which are failing, and what you need to fix.
